The Charlie Mortimer Fund was founded following the unexpected death of Charlie on August 15th 2009. Charlie had undiagnosed MCADD; a rare genetic condition where a person has problems breaking down fat to use as an energy source.

To date, the fund has raised over £80,000 to support families either;
living with metabolic illness
bereaved of their children
caring for their critically ill child.
The purpose of Charlie's fund is simple; it is a way of ensuring Charlie's short life is a living memorial.
